Niagara Falls, Ontario
My husband and me came to Canada in 2003 as skilled immigrants. For two years, we lived in Toronto where we worked, studied and had our child. One day we visited Niagara Falls and instantly fell in love with this beautiful city. Soon after, we moved there and opened our small business. I was staying home with our daughter for some time, then I worked for Niagara Falls International Marathon which was a very interesting experience.
Since I have an University degree as English and French teacher, I started to look for a job in that area. I did couple of years of volunteering at school and then started to work as supply teacher at one of French schools. Now I m working mostly with special needs children. My nearest plan is going to College to continue my education in this direction.
I took quite a few online courses at Niagara College, such as web design, children wellness and interpreter’s program. I like to study and learn new things. I think that we are really fortunate to have such a big choice of educational programs for all tastes and levels.
Our family likes to travel and especially to explore Ontario. I love the nature, the lakes and the forests in our amazing province. There are so many places we would like to visit. But our favourite place on Earth is Niagara Falls. I think it is a unique combination of everything Canada has to offer.
